Things you can ask Dex
Plain questions, typed the way you would say them out loud.
- Which invoices are overdue?
- Who are my top 5 customers this year?
- How much did I get paid in September?
- How much does Acme owe? Asked on a customer page — Dex knows which customer you are looking at.
- How do I turn an estimate into an invoice?
Screens from a Duecore test account. Every customer, invoice, and figure shown is sample data.
What Dex does today
Ask Dex, or chat from any page
Open the Ask Dex screen when you want to sit with your numbers, or use the floating chat without leaving the page you are on.
Knows which page you are on
Ask "how much does this customer owe?" while a customer is open and Dex answers about that customer, so you are not retyping names.
Weekly email digest
A weekly email with your aging summary, the customers running late, and the reminders that went out.
Help that links to the right screen
Ask how to do something in Duecore and Dex answers in plain English, with a link straight to the screen where you do it.
Built to be trusted
Answers only from your own Duecore data
Dex reads the estimates, invoices, customers, and payments in your own account. That is where its answers come from.
Built not to make up numbers
Dex is built to take figures from your records rather than fill them in. Every number it gives you is one you can go and look at.
Says when it does not know
If a question cannot be answered from your data, Dex tells you that instead of guessing.

Questions
How does Dex handle my data?
Dex answers only from the data in your own Duecore account — your estimates, invoices, customers, and payments. It is built to take figures from those records rather than make them up, and to tell you when something cannot be answered from your data.
What can't Dex do yet?
Dex answers questions today. It can't take actions in your account yet — it doesn't create, edit, send, or void anything, and it doesn't record payments. Letting Dex do that work, with your OK first, is on the Coming next list.
Do I need Dex to use Duecore?
No. Dex is optional. Estimates, invoices, PDFs, and payment tracking all work the same without it. On Standard, Dex is an add-on you can turn on or leave off; on Multi-company it is included.
