When companies shift to social media marketing as their primary source of promotions, you would often find them neglecting the offline marketing side. This is actually quite problematic as there are some things that offline marketing would be able to afford you that you would not be able to get when promoting social media.
Actually, the best way to go about it would be to combine the two marketing styles so that you would be able to come up with a presence both offline and online. However, not many businesses would know how to go about this, leading to some failed marketing strategies.
Here are some strategies for marrying offline and social media marketing:
Use one to promote the other:
The best way to combine online and offline marketing would be to use one to promote the other.
For promoting your online presence through offline means, you could put the URL of your website or your Facebook page (or other social media network) on flyers, posters, and other tri-media advertisements that you may opt to use. On the other side, you could then promote live events such as trade fairs, shows, or sales through your social media networking website's events section.
By doing this, you would be maximizing your advertising from both streams.
Ensure unity between both materials:
It would be best to show that both of your offline and social media marketing strategies show unified ideas. Please do not make it so that one aspect seems more advanced or different than the other. This concept should manifest itself on design (design them similarly), concept (do not state contradictory items), and delivery (provide the same message).
By doing this, you would realize that these two aspects of promotion go hand in hand and are not counter to each other.
